Biographical Outline for Pastor Julius A. Gamble, II (Jay)

“Helping people find their way back to God.” Those words best describe the life purpose of Pastor Jay Gamble.

Pastor Julius A. Gamble, II (Jay) is the husband of his partner in ministry, Reverend Melanie Gamble, and the proud father of three Kingdom Purpose sons, Julius Andrew, III, Jeremiah Martin and Jonathan Joel. Pastor Jay credits his Father, the late Julius Sr. and his mother Ruth, for his own work ethic and self-reliance.

Pastor Jay is an alumnus of Bowie State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. In addition, he earned a Master of Science in Information Technology from The American University and completed the Master of Divinity Program at Howard University. Pastor Jay is a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity, Inc.

Pastor Jay previously served on the ministerial staff of Hunter Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church located in Suitland, Maryland under the dynamic ministry model of Reverend Harold B. Hayes, Jr., Senior Pastor and Reverend Kellie V. Hayes, Assistant Pastor. Reverend Gamble was ordained an Itinerant Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal church in April of 2002 and Elder in April 2004. At his former church, Pastor Jay served as the Senior Minister to Youth and then Executive Minister to Community Relations and Social Justice. In 2007 under the leading of the Holy Spirit Pastor Jay stepped out on faith and became the founding Pastor of Life Change AME Church located in Columbia, MD.
Life Change is a community outreach church focused on meeting people where they are with the life changing message of Christ.
